Here we have a ASUS X501A laptop with damaged Hard Drive, so we decide to go with upgrade to a SSD (Solid State Drive).
Because the capacity is not very important in our case, the capacity of 120GB is satisfying our need of storage capacity. The speed of transfer is more important to us, so that’s why we make this upgrade at the first place.
Taking the decision what SSD to use, the price was also taken in consideration. With all these factors, taken in consideration, the decision fell on Platinet PMSSD120H.
After mounting the SSD, we install a fresh copy of Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit operating system. The speed of booting and working of the laptop was phenomenal. We also make a test with HDTune Pro Software, and these is the result:
The speed of the laptop was improved multiple times. Taking in consideration that this laptop have a not so powerful processor, the upgrade with ssd improve the speed significatly.
